The goodnews in the celebrity world is that one of the world singing idol – Sharira is pregnant for her boyfriend and Spanish footballer, Gerard Pique. Shakira divulge the news on Wednesday 19^th September, 2012 on her facebook page. In excitement she wrote on her facebook thus: “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned.” From the content of the post, it shows that the pregnant Shakira is on top of the world again.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, known mononymously as Shakira, is a Colombian singer-songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer and model who emerged in the music scene of Colombia and Latin America in the early 1990s. It should be noted that Shakira officially confirmed the relationship between her and Pique on 29 March 2011 via Twitter and Facebook posting their pictures with a caption reading, “I present to you my sunshine.”

The former President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings has declared that the death of President John Evans Atta Mills occurred as a divine intervention so as to propel the ruling party, National Democratic Congress, to retain power in the forthcoming election in December 2012. The outspoken former leader said ‘divine intervention created a great deal of goodwill for President John Mahama…’

While addressing the Volta Regional House of Chiefs in a meeting, he said President Mahama has revive the party from its dwindling position in the heart of Ghananians through the exemplified leadership qualities and the will to carry the party and citizens along in policy formulation and governance.

It should be noted that President Jerry rawlings is the founder of National Democratic Congress and his wife Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings was alleged to have sponsored the formation of the National Democratic Party (NDP). Indications from the presidency shows that President Goodluck Jonathan may instruct the Central bank of Nigeria Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to suspend the printing of the N5,000 banknotes and the conversion of some banknotes to coins (Project Cure) till further notice because of its unpopularity among Nigerians. This could be as a result of the meeting held by the leadership of the National Assembly and the President; in which the printing of the N5,000 banknote was one of the top issues discussed.

Sources said no categorical statement was made by the President Jonathan to Senator David Mark and Alhaji Tambuwal, but there are indications that the Presidency will discuss with the CBN governor and the Economic Team on the need to abandon the project since most Nigerians opposed the printing of a higher banknote.

A teenage female-orphan has become the youngest undergraduate in Zimbabwe at the age of 14. Her name is Maud Chifamba and she just got admission to study her dream-course, Accounting at the University of Zimbabwe. She has since started lectures on the 10^th day of September, 2012 under a four-year scholarship programme that is worth about Ten Thousand Dollars (i hope it is not the Zimbabwen Dollar sha!).

The natural intelligence of Maud Chifamba was discovered at her tender age when she was moved from Grade 3 to 6 by her primary school teachers. Though she lost her dad at age 5, she never relented in being exceptional in her academics as she passed her ordinary level examinations in just two years, skipping two forms. Notwithstanding the demise of her mum last year, she was determined to excel in life. As such, she sat and passed her A-Levels in December 2011 and was admitted to the prestigious University of Zimbabwe, Harare in September, 2012.
