TOBI ODUKOYA, LATE PST BIMBO ODUKOYA’S DAUGHTER, BAGS PhD AT AGE 27

Oluwatobi Deborah Odukoya, the last daughter of Late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya,  has become one of the youngest PhD holders in Nigeria. Her lovely sister, Tolu, shared this news on one of her social media page.

FASHOLA: POWER SECTOR PRIVATISATION WON’T BE REVOKED

The minister of power, works and housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has given assurance to the power sector operators as regard the privatisation that took placed in the sector in the last regime. He said “Cancellation of the exercise will only send a negative message to prospective investors in the country’s power sector. If we revoke it, investors will leave the country and would even tell others that Nigeria is not a reliable destination for investment.” This statement was said at the policy dialogue on the power sector, organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

INEC ANNOUNCES 2019 PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ELECTION DATE

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, February 16, 2019 as the date for the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, who disclosed this at a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) in Abuja recently, also said that the gubernatorial and state assembly elections and the Federal Capital will hold on March 2, 2019.

HIERARCHY IN THE ANIMAL FARM
