A black Bakelite telephone, which was later painted red and engraved with Hitler’s name and a swastika, made by Siemens was sold at Alexander Historical Auction in Maryland, USA.
The phone was presented to Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader, by the Wehrmacht and was recovered from him by
a British Officer Ralph Rayner in 1945 at Fuhrerbunker, Berlin. The phone has Hitler’s name engraved on it.
The bidding for the phone started with an opening bid of $100,000 and it was later sold for $243,000 by an unnamed bidder.
